THE BEATLES - YESTERDAY AND TODAY - 2ND STATE STEREO BUTCHER COPY - SUPERB CONDITION (ST 2553)

THE BEATLES - YESTERDAY AND TODAY - 2ND STATE STEREO BUTCHER COPY - SUPERB CONDITION (ST 2553). A remarkable condition stereo 2nd state copy of the most controversial sleeve designs of all time! This original stereo copy contains the replacement 'trunk cover' pasted over the original 'butcher' cover design - this is most apparent on these original copies with part of Ringo Starr's jumper 'V Neck' visible. The record (Capitol original 'rainbow' label ST 2553) is in fantastic Ex+ condition. Looking seldom played, there are just a couple of extremely faint and wispy paper marks. Matrix/runout: ST-1-2553-B-14 & ST-2-2553-B--14. The sleeve is in superb Ex+ condition. There has clearly been no attempt to peel the trunk sleeve, with very little wear to the rest of the sleeve indeed. With some very light corner wear and some very slight foxing on the reverse. '5 RIAA'. Housed with very clean original company inner, a copy of the letter sent by Capitol to 'reviewers' and a signed letter of authenticity from Perry Cox. A stunning copy.

Sold for £1,500
