GENESIS - LIVE AT LEICESTER/MANCHESTER - ORIGINAL 1973 DOUBLE LP TEST PRESSING (PHILIPS 6830 140/1). A massive Genesis rarity with this original Dutch 1973 double LP test pressing of the band's shows in Leicester and Manchester on 24th/25th February 1973. With printed Philips 'Sample Record Not For Sale' labels with artist/title information handwritten. Record 1 is in fantastic Ex+ condition showing only a couple of extremely minor, faint and wispy paper marks. Matrix/runout (machine stamped): AA 6830 140 1Y 1 670 1 04 & AA6830 140 2Y 1 670 1 04. Record 2 is in similar top Ex+ condition again showing only a couple of extremely minor, faint and wispy paper marks. Matrix/runout (machine stamped): AA 6830 141 1Y 1 670 1 04 & AA 6830 141 2Y 1 670 1. With original pasted label copy inners. Housed with the original 'generic' outer sleeve with handwritten information.

Genesis Live was released as 2LP set in Netherlands, reaching for unknown reasons the test pressing stage only. A handful of copies (around 16 have been located worldwide) were pressed and sent to various Phonogram offices worldwide, making of "Live at Leicester/Live at Manchester" easily the rarest official Genesis records in existence. Mixing and tracklist is completely different from the Genesis Live LP released three months later, the more evident being the presence here of entire Supper's ready suite live at Leicester, De Montfort Hall, on Feb. 25, 1973, otherwise never released officially.
