T. REX - RIDE A WHITE SWAN / JEWEL / SUMMERTIME BLUES 7" - ORIGINAL UK WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSING WITH MARC BOLAN HANDWRITING - OCTOPUS RECORDS (OCTO 1)

T. REX - RIDE A WHITE SWAN / JEWEL / SUMMERTIME BLUES 7" - ORIGINAL UK WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSING WITH MARC BOLAN HANDWRITING - OCTOPUS RECORDS (OCTO 1). Remarkable to uncover original UK white label test pressing from T. Rex with Ride A White Sun c/w Jewel and Summertime Blues with this copy incredibly containing Marc Bolan's handwriting on both labels. With only a couple of known test pressings known to exist (Record Collector stating only 2/3 test pressings were produced), the record contains machine stamped matrix OCTO 1 & OCTO 2 - the release on Octopus Records (an attempt to mimic the American Tarantula Label) had its name changed to Fly while trying to work out a distribution deal with Island Records with the commercial B side released with 'Is It Love' rather than 'Jewel'. The deal fell through and Fly connected with EMI, who officially released the record as BUG 1. The record is in solid VG condition with some light surface marks/scuffs though no heavier feelable scratches. The textured white labels contain Marc Bolan's handwriting 'A Ride A White Swan T Rex' and 'Jewel, Summertime Blues T Rex'. An unbelievable piece of T. Rex history that has never been sold publicly.
