MTUME UMOJA ENSEMBLE - 'ALKEBU-LAN - LAND OF THE BLACKS (LIVE AT THE EAST) 70'S USA STRATA-EAST LP - Super super rare Spiritual Free-Jazz/Spoken Word classic on the highly sought Strata-East label, recorded live Aug 29th 1971 at 'The East' Brooklyn, NYC. Band include avant-garde legends Gary Bartz, Carlos Garnett, James Mtume, Leroy Jenkins and a pre-cult hero Andy Bey. cat. (SES 1972-4, x 2 LP USA) original 1972 in gatefold heavyweight sleeve. Vinyl are strong and glossy VG+ with one or two light blemishes. Sleeve is VG with both opening corners having splits 1/3rd way down, light ringwear and corner rubbing.
