Founded by Lady Isobel Cripps (q.v.) and Dr Elizabeth Frankand Moore (then Mrs Miller) as a national appeal to raise money to provide relief across war-torn China. The funds were distributed by a committee headed by Sir Horace Seymour, British Ambassador in China. In 1947 the Fund evolved into the Sino-British Fellowship Trust.
