A two-piece suit in a blue, green and orange striped weave, with brown lining, comprising a single-breasted, two-button jacket with breast and two hip pockets, labelled Tailored by John Collier of Oxford Street, London, and matching trousers with button fly, pleated front, slanted hip pockets, one buttoned rear pocket and turn-ups. Accompanied by a crimson silk tie labelled T.M. Lewin & Sons Ltd., 106 Jermyn Street, London. This suit was worn by David Bowie in the video for 'Absolute Beginners' and can be seen on the images of him used for the 7" picture sleeve release (a copy of which is included with the lot). Provenance: originally sold at Bonhams, 13th December 2017, lot 113.
