JOHN LENNON & STUART SUTCLIFFE NONSENSE POEMS AND DRAWINGS.
Four pages from a notepad, one side bearing a nonsense poem, in hard to decipher handwriting by John Lennon. Completed at Astrid Kirchherr's Hamburg flat c 1961. Reverse side is blank. Third page contains sketched portraits in pen by John Lennon, and reverse side (fourth page) contains sketches by Stuart Sutcliffe. Poem/writing reads:
"Eventually the four ?????
found that they had lost their
pigs and so they all walked
towards the centre of the
city.
"How now you owld ???
face" says the first plum
Then very quickly the
third jew says
"I have come to save
you from the bigballed
??????
"The big balled ????
soup a ???
"I have only heard of this in a book
lay ??? great great
?? and - fucker
"you are naturally my brother" says 49 jews
who are sitting quietly
in the corner"
