The Beatles Auction

  Lot 379

PERSONAL CORRESPONDENCE FROM GEORGE HARRISON'S MOTHER - 1964 - 1969.

An incredible collection of correspondence sent to our vendor from George Harrison's mother Louise Harrison, between October 1964 and February 1969, with a subsequent letter in May 1970 from Mr. Harrison informing the vendor of Louise Harrison's death. The letters have been catalogued by the vendor and a helpful printed summary is included, including dates with notable events discussed including the 'Help!' premiere, George's wedding to Pattie, the amendment of the 'Butcher' sleeve and many more. The letters begin with an original Fan Club card with note from Louise to verso 'Lorraine, thanks for all the letters. George will see them' - the fan club card is signed 'George Harrison' though it is likely that this was also done by Louise Harrison. The vendor has also written a captivating account of her correspondence with Louise, included here in this lot. The letters will be available to view by request prior to the auction. There are 55 letters in total, including Mr. Harrison's. The letters are generally kept in very good condition, with expected age wear to the envelopes.

Also included is a 1968 Christmas fan club flexi disc and an original fan club issued poster.
