THE BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME LP (1ST UK MONO 'BLACK AND GOLD' - PMC 1202). A well-presented original UK mono 'black and gold' copy of Please Please Me. Parlophone PMC 1202 with black and gold labels and Dick James credits for tracks A1, 2, 4, 6, 7, B4 and B6. Side 1 of the record is in strict VG condition showing only a couple of light surface marks, with one 'just about' feelable light scratch towards on track A6. Side 2 is in VG+ condition showing only a few light and minor surface marks. Both playing surfaces retain their original glossy lustre. Labels are bright and clean. XEX 421-1N 2 GM & XEX 422-1 1 GA machine stamped matrix/mother stampers. The first printing sleeve is in neat VG+ condition - largely very well presented showing only minor wear, with a small section of the right part of the reverse flipback tab starting to lift. Elsewhere without any rips, tears or seam splits and with the spine fully legible. Housed with clean original Emitexd inner.
