THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO LP (US MONO EAST COAST ORIGINAL - V-5008). A rare to see, original US mono East Coast LP pressing of The Velvet Underground & Nico studio album with iconic Andy Warhol designed sleeve & peelable banana cover, still intact. The record (V-5008, 1967 US East Coast pressing on Verve Records. Labels are bright and clean. Matrix: V5008 side 1 MG 558 Rev 15 block-shaped "S" and V5008 SIDe 2 MG 559 12 symbol. The record is strong VG condition, displays numerous light surface marks, nothing feelable of note. The sleeve with peelable banana intact and original Emerson image on the back cover is VG+, displays some edge stroage wear, mainly to the top edges. Peelable banana appears to have a crease or tear line at the top where it thins out for the stalk. A great copy).
