THE ROLLING STONES - COMPILATION LP TEST PRESSING (ZAL 12998/9 P-1W). A curious LP test pressing by British rock legends The Rolling Stones. The LP is sides 3 & 4 from a compilation produced but never released by Decca records in the early 1970s. Originally intended to be packaged in an opera-style box with a booklet, the 3 LP format was abandoned by Decca at an early stage as not being economically viable. With nine of the album tracks removed the compilation was later transformed into the 'Rolled Gold' double album released in November 1975. This LP sides 3 & 4 from the 3 LP set (ZAL-12998.P-1W/ ZAL-12999.P-1W stamped matrix. Factory Sample labels with hand-written information. The 14-track LP is Ex condition, displays a couple of hairline/ wispy paper marks. Includes tracks Get Of Off My Cloud, Lady Jane, Under My Thumb, Paint It Black and many more.
