This guitar was made in 1974, it was built by Framus with the finest materials at that time.
Jan Akkerman was approached by Framus around 1972 and in 1973 he went to the factory to look around and discuss details of how he would like this guitar to look and sound.
It was also in 1973 that Akkerman was voted best guitarist in the world in a Melody Maker poll, in 1974 the first guitars were being made but only in Sunburst with model number 10950 and Black 10980. The catalogue that was produced would show only these two guitars.

The stop tailpiece has adjustment for optimum string height and intonation . The machine heads are built by German company Kolb and are of high quality.
This is an extremely rare guitar to find but to see this model in white is extraordinary. It is known that another white Akkerman belongs to a guitar Collector in Canada. The model number for this guitar was given as 03452.
