An original and rare concert poster advertising an ultimately cancelled concert in March of 1965 in Coleford, England with The Manish Boys. At that time Davie Jones AKA David Bowie was leading the band on saxophone and vocals. From the Bowie bible:
"Their show the previous evening in Coleford, Somerset, had been cancelled without the band’s knowledge. Despite attempts to sleep at the venue, they hit the road again but ran out of diesel, forcing them to sleep in the van in the cold until the morning."
The poster measures 29.5 x 40" and is in fragile condition, with a split to the centre of the poster along fold lines, some other creasing and minor losses. Please review pictures carefully.
Provenance: from the estate of former Manish Boy, Record Collector magazine contributor and legendary record collector Bob Solly.
