HILDA WETTON (1896-1980) - HAND DRAWN WINDMILLS THEATRE SHOWGIRL COSTUME DESIGN. A fantastic original work by Hilda Wetton c1930s, famed designer of cabaret dancer costumes notably for performers in 'Showgirls' at the Windmill Theatre, Soho circa 1937. This mixed media work, pencil, watercolour and fabric on thicker card like stock, depicts a dancer with plant prop and is annotated 'Laurels fan no trio'. Work measures approx 16 x 31 and is affixed to a sheet of thinner paper. Very good condition.
