A bound pad of lined A4 writing paper used circa 1994 by Noel Gallagher of Oasis to copy out lyrics, tracklistings, sketches and more, during an important period of the group's history and a large collection of original handwritten lyrics,

Included in this lot is the writing pad, bearing handwritten (by Noel) notes to inner front cover, including a venue address in London, sketches and a track listing to the rear cover, two loose pages containing lyrics/notes. Also to include 24 pages removed from the book with early draft lyrics for Oasis titles to inc; She's Electric, Going Nowhere, 'Not Finished/Untitled' which would become 'Bonehead's Bank Holiday', 'Step Out Tonight' (across two pages), 'Rockin' Chair', 'All Around The World', 'Champagne Supernova', 'Roll With It' (substantially different lyrics), 'Starchild', 'Callin' All', 'On N' On', 'Feeling Like I Think', 'Rainy Summer Time', three draft set lists, a 'Rebellius (sic) Jukebox' selection by Noel, possible alt chorus for 'Some Might Say', notes inc Noel's dream analysis 'TEETH FALLING OUT IS GUILT ABOUT MASTURBATION', three pages with Noel's 'Top Ten' selections.

One of the many highlights is the working lyric/manuscript for "Champagne Supernova" which differs from the final version (see pictures). This notebook really is a true "Holy Grail" for any Oasis collector and is essentially an embryo of what was to become their 2nd album "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?". Musical history in its finest form!

Provenance: from a private collection originally offered for sale by Bonhams in 2006, subsequently purchased by the current owner in 2019. The auction house has been supplied with much of the original Bonhams consignment documentation relating to the notebook.
