THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO LP (US EAST COAST PROMO - YELLOW LABELS - UNPEELED SLEEVE - VERVE - V-5008). An extremely scarce, original US East Coast promo LP pressing of The Velvet Underground & Nico album with original unpeeled banana sleeve, designed by Andy Warhol (V-5008, 1967 US promo pressing on Verve Records. Yellow/ black text labels identify this as the 'East Coast Pressing' variant. Labels are bright and clean. V5008 Side 1 mG-558 Rev/ V5008 SIDe 2 mG-559 matrix. Original Verve paper inner sleeve has a slight edge split. The record is in VG condition with each side displaying some surface marks surface marks. Side 1 features a hairline but feelable mark at the start of track 5. The original sleeve an unpeeled cover banana and upside-down Emerson image on the rear. Sleeve is strong VG+ condition, displays some minor edge storage wear/ handling wear. A great example).
