THE SMITHS - 1983 ROUGH TRADE PROMO CASSETTE.

A 1983 Rough Trade promotional cassette for 'Hand In Glove' used by Rough Trade plugger Scott Piering at the time (responsible for the radio promotion of Rough Trade's releases). Piering and Rough Trade were promoting three single releases at the same time and this cassette contains the tracks of the two other promoted bands those being Zerra 1 (pipped by the music press to be the new U2) and Influence. An advert exists in one of the 1983 issues of the Cartel in-house 'The Catalogue' trade magazine that advertised these three releases together.
