In Max's words;
"At the end of her one and only tour, in 1979, Kate was at her stage performance peak at the Hammersmith Odeon. ‘James’ provided a level of theatrical drama unseen at rock concerts until then. This stage version featured a long extended instrumental coda allowing Kate to duel, with her carbine, repeatedly until she is the only one left. Here she is about to duel with her penultimate victim (dancer Gary Hurst). (Published in ‘Three Nights in Hammersmith: Kate Bush onstage in 1979’, 2021)"
