Extremely unusual and perhaps one-off 10" (single sided) acetate recording featuring tracks by Pink Floyd, Wilson Pickett and Mitch Ryder And The Detroit Wheels. Perhaps from a radio broadcast dating from the late 1960s, the recording features 'snippets' of the following songs in order: Pink Floyd - Bike, Wilson Pickett - Mustang Sally, Pink Floyd - Interstellar Overdrive which is then 'mixed' with Dean Parrish - Turn On Your Love Light and The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band into Mitch Ryder And The Detroit Wheels - Devil With The Blue Dress On. The 'Associated British Productions Ltd' labels contain handwritten information 'The Happening'Hammerhead 12-12-67' though we do not believe the track contained on this record have anything to do with the Eurospy thriller! The record is in fine VG+ condition showing only a couple of very light and minor surface marks with no deterioration to the aluminium lacquer. Plays with some low lying surface noise. Sound clip available on our Youtube channel. From an archive that featured recordings from the Ready Steady Go series though our research found no show containing these artists. A fascinating recording.
