DAVID BOWIE - A RARE CONCERT POSTER FOR THE FRIARS, AYLESBURY.

A rarely seen original poster advertising David Bowie's performance at Friars Club, Aylesbury on January 29th 1972. Measures 20 x 30" and in VF condition, with edge wear and some creasing. From the Friars archive. This concert was the world premiere of the Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders from Mars album. On the opening track of Ziggy Stardust ‘Five Years’ Bowie references Aylesbury Market Square in the opening line “Pushing through the Market Square…so many mothers sighing".
