This exquisite collection of psychedelic posters and memorabilia originated as a passion project for my late uncle in the 1960s. Greatly Inspired by the music of the time, hippy culture and the gathering Peace and Love movements, he grew the collection substantially throughout most of his life, curating a dazzling homage to the era and the eras that followed.
The collection features many of the big names associated with the movements of the time including the ‘big five’ Alton Kelley, Victor Moscoco, Rick Griffin, Wes Wilson, and Stanley Mouse. In addition the collection features inspiring examples from East Totem West, The Fool, Hapshash and the Coloured Coat as well as an array of mind bending black light posters, rare ephemera and curiosities from the 1960s and beyond.
I feel the collection gives a glimpse of a powerful cultural zeitgeist that seemed to erupt spontaneously across the globe during a time of great social change. I trust the artworks will bring much happiness and wonder to their new owners.
