HAPPY XMAS (WAR IS OVER) - ONE OF THE 50 ACETATES DONATED BY LENNON / ONO TO CHARITABLE CAUSES.
One of the 50 acetate copies of 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)' recently issued to various independent record shops and UK based charitable causes by Sean Lennon and Yoko Ono on the 50th anniversary of the release of the original single. This example '35/50' was donated to aid the charitable work of Glasgow based organisation 'Hen Hoose' (see auction notes).
The acetate features a 2020 'Ultimate Mix' version, lathe cut at Abbey Rd studios. With an original letter signed by Sean Ono Lennon and sticker on record sleeve with printed Yoko Ono signature.
Omega Auctions are waiving all fees on this sale - so 100% of the hammer price will go to aid the work of Hen Hoose.

Omega Auctions are pleased to be able to offer one of the 50 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over) acetates, recently issued by Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon to various lucky recipients in the UK. The example seen in this auction was received by Glasgow based organisation 'Hen Hoose'.
Omega Auctions are waiving all commission on this one-off sale - to ensure that 100% of the hammer price will go directly to Hen Hoose, who will subsequently donate 20% of the hammer price to the Tiny Changes charity..
This timed online only sale will run from 5pm on 6th December 2021 until 7pm on Sunday 12th December 2021.
