CHARGE - CHARGE LP (UK HEAVY -PSYCH/ SRT PRODUCTIONS - SRT 73275). A genuine early 70s heavy-psych LP rarity by British trio Charge. The group, born out of the ashes Baby Bertha and Sweet Poison, recorded this self-titled, 6-track album in a single 10-hour session at S.R.T. studios on a reportedly freezing day in January 1973. Never officially released at the time, this is one of only a handful of known copies to exist. Record Collector magazine famously reported that only 1 copy was known to exist but a couple of people with close ties to the band also claim to own copies. The record (SRT 73275, 1973 UK pressing on SRT Productions. The textured orange labels with black text are in bright, clean shape, all text is cleanly printed and fully legible with only minor spindle wear around the centre holes. SRT 73275 A/ B stamped matrix. Side 1 is in glorious Ex condition, displays a couple of hairline/ wispy paper marks. Side 2 is in strong Ex+ condition. Comes in a generic white card sleeve).
