DIRE STRAITS FIRST EVER DEMO CASSETTE FROM JULY 1977 - INC 'SACRED LOVING'.
A Scotch 'Dynarange' cassette with handwritten label to side one to read 'Dire Straights' (sic). This cassette contains recordings likely made at Pathway Studios on 24th July with tracks to inc: 'Wild West End', 'Sultans of Swing', 'Down to the Waterline', 'Sacred Loving', 'Water of Love', several of which have never been released.
Provenance: the vendor worked in the talent acquisition department of a major record label in the 1970s and has supplied images of paperwork to the auction house which shows record of that employment (paperwork not included in lot). They were sent this cassette c July 1977.
