An incredible piece of memorabilia linked to Radiohead's early recording history with 8 pages filled with workings for songs with the highlight being the lyrics for "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" complete with a sketch of a three-headed street spirit (original working title of the track).
The first page of the book references Punchdrunk (song from Iron Lung EP), has chords noted down, sketches of an ear, car and leg plus references to Isaac Hayes, the second page has chords, song working and some notes re their unreleased track "Dead Bank Clerk", the third page has the lyrics for Street Spirit that fill a 23"x16.5" page, the fourth page has the chords for a track along with a cartoon sketch, the fifth page has musical ideas for a track that may have been titled "Idiot Boy"?, the sixth page has a full page of musical workings for Trickster (spelt Trixter) which features on the Iron Lung EP, the seventh page has the order of music for the classic track "My Iron Lung" and the final page of notes contain the working for an unknown track titled "Too Easy".
Provenance: Sold with letter of provenance from the vendor who loaned the PA and bass guitars to be used in the session both at the fruit farm in Oxfordshire and also at RAK Studios. On the completion of the sessions, he returned to collect the equipment and clear out the room. He was authorised to take anything that was left in the space, including the carpeting that had been used for acoustic treatment and the sketchpad.
