A hardcover copy of 'An Introduction To The History of Architecture - H. Barrett Carpenter and Joseph Knight' (1941 edition, no dust jacket) with 'The Liverpool Institute' bookplate on inside cover bearing a signature from a teenage Paul McCartney (as 'JP McCartney' along with his form 'BM2', making this a likely c 1958 signature.

Provenance: from the collection of a former Liverpool Institute pupil who attended at the same time as Paul McCartney / George Harrison.
