An original 1963 Fender Stratocaster. Serial number: L04963. Rosewood fretboard. Refretted by the vendor c 1971 with nickel frets but otherwise all original parts. D neck. The vendor had the guitar done with a cherry red finish as part of a prize for winning a talent contest at Hackney Town Hall circa 1965. Owned since new, played and loved by Allen Taylor who toured extensively as a session musician (Tremeloes and others) and a songwriter. Hard case included purchased circa 1973. Some spares inc tremolo arm, tuner and strings. The guitar has been well played and shows signs of usage. Please review video for a guide to condition.
This guitar has been reviewed by an independent expert who has ascertained that: pickup guards are missing, the logo has been replaced at some point in the guitar's history, the neck has been lightly oversprayed (possibly at the time of re-paint). He believes that two of the tuners have been changed and the others are original.
