A professionally made replica of the only known painting made by all four of The Beatles. The original work was created by the group in their Tokyo hotel suite c June/July 1966 and recently sold for $1.7 million in a New York auction. This replica was created in 1983, the owner organised an 'Art of the Beatles' exhibition at the Walker Art Gallery, May-Sept 1984 and had this work created from a photograph of the original painting when the owner was unwilling to ship his work over to Liverpool. This lot includes the mounted, framed and glazed work (to overall size 93x66.5cm), the original negative used to print this replica, a photo of the Walker Gallery during the exhibition, a COA from the current owner, a photo of the replica on the wall at the Walker along with a facsimile copy of the accompanying text, correspondence between the vendor, the painting's previous owner and Tony Barrow, the Beatles press officer.
