An original c 1950s advertising card for 'Club Downbeat', NYC (13 x 7.5cm) signed to reverse in pencil by Billie Holiday.

Originally from the scrapbook of Canadian jazz writer, broadcaster and discographer Jack Litchfield (1929-2023), who spent much of his youth visiting the great jazz venues of New York and Chicago, and was on close terms with guitarist Eddie Condon and trumpeter ‘Wild Bill’ Davison.
