A rare 1940 US-issued first day cover bearing original signatures of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Howard Dietz, Otto Harbach, Albert Golman. FDC is affixed to a page (by blu tack, likely removable) bearing a pasted original auction description and handwritten information.
Provenance: from an astonishing collection of classical music ephemera which includes autographs from many of the 20th century's most renowned conductors and composers. Collected over many years by a former orchestral manager of Liverpool Philharmonic.
