An extremely scarce, original US East Coast promo LP pressing of The Velvet Underground & Nico album with original unpeeled banana sleeve, designed by Andy Warhol (V-5008, 1967 US promo pressing on Verve Records. Yellow/ black text labels identify this as the 'East Coast Pressing' variant. Labels are bright and clean. V5008 Side 1 mG-558 Rev/ V5008 SIDe 2 mG-559 matrix. Side 1 is in Ex condition with a few small hairlines and side 2 is in VG condition with a feelable hairline mark on B3. The original sleeve and unpeeled banana is in VG+ condition with light creasing to the corners/ storage wear and '5792' written in black pen on the reverse. The spine is fully legible).
