Lot 259

MOTORHEAD - THE ORIGINAL 'WARPIG' ARTWORK.

A CS10 artboard (approx 33x43.5cm) with an original graphite pencil drawing of the legendary Motorhead 'mascot' 'Warpig'. In 1987 the vendor was hired to reproduce the original Joe Petagno design, following a break down in communications between Petagno and the band. This example offered here is the original design from 1987, upon which all artwork (s) and merchandise since have been based. A full and detailed PDF document detailing the vendor's interaction with both band members and Petagno relating to this commission is available on request and is an informative (and interesting) read.
