An original and rare poster advertising two performances by The Beatles at the Sheffield Gaumont cinema in December 1965. The group performed 11 songs on what would be their final UK tour and were supported by The Moody Blues. This rare example measures 25.5 x 38.8cm and is printed onto glossy card stock. A card hanger has been affixed to the reverse but could likely be removed. Handritten annotations to the upper left corner read 'W1835 Arthur Howes 50' - likely referring to the order or catalogue number for this poster design and the likely number of copies printed. This poster has been in the collection of the family of the original printers 'Electric (Modern) Printing Co' of Manchester and the notes are likely due to this example being a reference copy for the printers. Shows a crease to upper left corner, some very light edge wear but is otherwise in excellent condition.
