A schoolbook, owned and used by Paul McCartney c 1959 whilst an upper sixth form pupil at Liverpool Institute school. Book is inscribed to cover by McCartney along with his form 'AM2'. With a further signature to inner front cover along with lines of a witty imagined dialogue (by McCartney). The book was used for Paul McCartney's geography work and there are approx 66 sides of writing in the book mostly concerning Scandinavia. Also with a further sketch to inner of the back cover. McCartney would take (and fail) an 'O-Level' course in geography.
Book measures approx 16 x 20cm. Some evidence of staining / water damage to cover, light foxing to some pages, a tear on front cover approx 3cm. Provenance: from the collection of a former Liverpool Institute pupil who attended at the same time as Paul McCartney / George Harrison.
