OVERWATER BASS GUITAR. (previously owned and used by John Entwistle). Bought by Peter from Sotheby's in 2003 (includes Sotheby's tag and catalogue).
One hell of a Bass player! When he died (WHAT A WAY TO GO!) and I heard of the sale I had to have a guitar. Asking the wife what my budget was, "No more than the estimate!" She said. The two I wanted were his ’Frankenstein’ guitars which were down at £7K each, I had them at 7K, then 14, then 21, then 28, I thought "she is going to kill me!". They went for over 70K each to the Hard Rock, Japan. I bought this one and another which will go in my coffin with me, it’s going to be a big coffin. This didn’t work for me sadly, the other one I use every day.
