SMASHED FENDER STRATOCASTER. Serial No: MZ3092367. With Rockbag soft case.

Used on stage at The Cancer Benefit gig at Manchester Arena, one of the bands smashed this guitar up at the end of their set. I asked the roadie at the side of the stage, “What will you do with that now?”, “Dunno!” he replied. Reminded me of my great friend Dave Dee who was telling me about when he toured with Jimi Hendrix in the ’60s, Dave kept complaining about all Jimi’s smashed up Fenders being all over the place at their gigs, so he got fed up, collected them all together and put them in a dustbin outside. He said to me, "Once Jimi died I have regretted that decision every single day of my life!" Two great men. Anyway as I was leaving the arena driving past the bins at the back, I spotted something… It was the neck of a Fender poking out! The roadie had obviously decided what to do with it. I thought… "I can fix that!" Never did. All proceeds to The Christie Cancer Charity.
