ELVIS PRESLEY - THAT'S ALL RIGHT - US AUDIODISC ACETATE RECORDING (SUN 209)

ELVIS PRESLEY - THAT'S ALL RIGHT - US AUDIODISC ACETATE RECORDING (SUN 209). Fantastic piece of Elvis History with this original US Audiodisc acetate recording for SUN 209, That's All Right. It's thought that a few acetates were produced that were likely given to Elvis, Scott and Bill and the sound engineer Jack Clement - they would then listen to the sound before releasing the custom record on July 19, 1954. We believe the acetate to contain 'less echo' on the recording than that of the commercial release. This copy belonged to Jack Clement and was later given to Bobby Maysell (who played piano with Jack) and has belonged to Benny Vejlby from the Rock & Roll Museum in Denmark from 2003 who has kindly consigned this fantastic piece of Rock 'N' Roll history to auction. The record (a 7" recording on a 10" disc) is currently framed though appears to be in excellent condition showing no deterioration to the lacquer. With printed 'Audiodisc Recording Blank New York USA' labels with 'Elvis Presley That's All RIght Sun 209' hand written with 'OUTSIDE-IN' circled in pen.
