About In Harmony Liverpool

In Harmony Liverpool uses orchestral music making to improve the life chances of children by increasing confidence, wellbeing, skills, and resilience, enhanced by opportunities to travel, learn, perform, and collaborate with professional musicians, international artists, and other young people. The project targets children with the greatest need and fewest resources with over 40% of In Harmony children classed as living in poverty.

“Many people overlook young people like us from our areas. However, we are more than capable of achieving amazing things, especially when we have things like In Harmony in our lives” In Harmony Student

Every week, over 1,500 children learn an orchestral instrument, sing, compose, perform in orchestras, and play at major concert venues. With support, we will increase our reach to 1,750 children by 2024, focusing on additional investment in teenagers. The programme is delivered by Liverpool Philharmonic.
